Outrider Foundation
When Bluecadet was first approached by the Outrider Foundation, it was a granting organization looking to pivot towards publishing and engaging directly with the public. They aimed to become a trusted source of information and history, addressing nuclear disarmament and climate change through innovative digital storytelling, education, and advocacy.
Bomb Blasts
"Bomb Blasts” is one of two interactive features on the site. This interactive map invites users to set off a virtual nuclear bomb anywhere in the world, from midtown Manhattan to their own backyard.
Brand and content strategy
First, we focused on the brand. We brokered the purchase of the URL outrider.org, incorporated their new logo and visual identity, and extended the brand vocabulary into a digital style guide.
Our narrative team established the organization's tone and voice, defined content pillars and editorial strategy, and then researched and secured dozens of images and videos for the site. We also authored 22 original long-form articles as a basis for Outrider's ongoing editorial strategy.
Regional Impacts
While climate change effects are global, the impacts in America vary in interesting and sometimes shocking ways by region. The “Regional Impacts” interactive allows users to see the ongoing effects of climate change across the country.

Impact and reach
With over 1.4 million views, Bluecadet's work with Outrider established them as a relevant voice in a crowded space. Importantly, it laid the foundation for their ongoing editorial and content strategy, positioning the organization as a respected and established voice in the conversation on nuclear disarmament and climate change.
