Milton Hershey School

Milton Hershey School

Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, Milton Hershey School provides high-quality education and support to over 2,000 students from low-income families nationwide. From early strategy to final installation, Bluecadet revamped the Founders Hall Visitor Experience to showcase the school’s founding over a century ago and its impact on students today.

Rotunda Dome Projections

At the center of Founders Hall is the second-largest rotunda in the country. We activated its ceiling with a film combining archival documents and custom animation to tell the story of Milton Hershey’s life and the school’s early days. The building’s unique shape allowed us to experiment with projection mapping and illusions, blending classical architecture with contemporary technology.

Portrait Stations

Interactive video towers feature current students sharing campus highlights. Life-sized, motion-activated videos personally greet visitors, offering a personal glimpse into the vibrant Milton Hershey School community and immediately engaging guests with fresh stories.

Multiple tall and skinny monoliths with screens in the visitor center display various data

Interactive Yearbook

An interactive yearbook, combining a touchscreen and digital projection, invites visitors to explore the school’s history. The large-scale wall projection responds to user input on the touchscreen, with projected animations aligning with the detailed content.

Ambient Archives

Our team had the privilege of sifting through a century’s worth of school archives, selecting photos and documents to illustrate Milton Hershey School’s core values and enduring legacy.

Something that really resonated with me was something very close to what I say… 'What do you want people to know? What do you want people to feel?' and Bluecadet took it one step further with this: 'What do you want them to do? What's that call to action?
