Cleveland Museum of Art
Breuer Lobby Digital Signage

The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) tasked us with designing large-scale digital signage that was inspirational and visually striking—a representation of the museum’s future that also seamlessly fit within the historic Marcel Breuer lobby. The 20-foot-wide display needed to welcome guests, showcase CMA’s renowned collection, and provide up-to-date details on daily programming.

A Bold, Flexible Design
We answered that challenge with a flexible, adaptive design that combines bold, clear templates with animated geometric transitions inspired by the architecture, keeping the screen fresh and engaging. The templates present key information at a glance, helping visitors quickly identify programming of interest while accommodating a range of text lengths and image sizes.

Designing for Impact at Every Scale
The screen communicates effectively at multiple distances, drawing in passersby while offering deeper details for those who stop. Concise content, paired with QR codes, ensures visitors can quickly comprehend information. Integration with the museum’s website CMS enables automated updates on exhibitions, events, and tours with minimal staff effort, while customizable templates let staff highlight special initiatives and announcements.

Bringing Art to Life in 3D
Animating 3D imagery of art objects draws visitors’ attention, invites them to look closer, and sets an engaging, immersive tone. This digital signage solution celebrates the collection and enhances the visitor experience by making essential information accessible, visually compelling, and always current.

Jane Alexander, Chief Digital Information Officer, Cleveland Museum of Art,Bluecadet was pivotal in developing the dynamic signage that serves as the centerpiece for our renovated Breuer Building, seamlessly integrating real-time data from our Drupal backend to enhance visitor engagement. Their collaborative and innovative approach was invaluable in transforming our vision into reality.
