June 14, 2011 by Cecilia Razak

Bluecadet is thrilled to announce the addition of designer Aaron Richardson to our team. Though he’s only been with us for a few short weeks, he’s already got a full plate, so we thought we’d take this time out to show you a little of what made him special enough to snap up in the first place. Cue the image roll.

June 06, 2011 by Jason Grandelli

Creating an interactive installation involves a lot of planning. Without it, rookies and veterans alike can find themselves banging their head against the touchscreen wall. Our first MeetUp

Philly Museums and Technology MeetUp

May 09, 2011 by Cecilia Razak

Bluecadet hosted the inaugural Philadelphia Museums and Technology (#PhillyMuseTech) group get-together in our offices, along with co-organizer Aaron Miller. At first we were attempting to somehow meld Cinco de Mayo and Museums & Technology (since the meetup happened to take place on the 5th), but that idea easily melted away once the group got together. Despite the Dos Equis and tortilla chips, Museums were obviously on everyone’s mind.

The Bluecadet team roadtripped down to the 10th annual Global Leadership Awards in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night. We had a chance to celebrate with the hard-working Vital Voices staff, and were fortunate to join them in recognizing this year's honorees.

Bluecadet is nominated for three Webby Awards this year! We're all abuzz with excitement, but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. We’re up against some really impressive competition; so stiff, in fact, that we’re immensely proud just to be nominated. See what's in contention, below.

Visited the Museum of Fine Arts Boston over the weekend to check out the new Art of the Americas Wing - a huge addition the museum. We were greeted at the door by an iPad-wielding membership recruiter. The new wing features a few fun interactives, including a huge multi-user touch table.

March 10, 2011 by Rebecca

We shot candid-style interviews of local museum lovers for the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Thanks to our friends Marty and Willie at VideoArt for taking the lead on the shoot. Notice the use of an iPad instead of a traditional slate. Using 3 Canon SLRs, we captured beautiful high def video that will have gorgeous depth of field.
