Philly Museums & Tech Meetup
The Philly Museums and Tech Meetup gathered in an intimate group at the Athenaeum on Thursday night to get a tour. It was a chance to see the ways an institution can capture its visitors' interest and allow them to interact. Here's a hint, it's not necessarily through the latest touch screen technology.
Join us at MSF's traveling exhibit + happy hour
We recently relaunched starvedforattention.org, with a fluid scrolling redesign and some fun HTML/jquery flairs. An initiative of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and VII Photo, “Starved for Attention,” is a multimedia campaign exposing the neglected and largely invisible crisis of childhood malnutrition.
Communication Arts Studio Profile
The prestigious design publication Communication Arts featured Bluecadet in a glowing eight-page studio profile. Bluecadet is one of only nine interactive studios to ever be featured in the design magazine, and we're alongside some incredibly well-respected firms like R/GA, Barbarian Group, Big Spaceship, and Firstborn.
Aaron Miller
We’re excited to welcome Aaron Miller, our new Producer and Interactive Technology Specialist, to Bluecadet. He boasts an impressive interactive background, and real project management chops. How he got to Bluecadet is a multimedia-studded road. Check out his artwork, installations and interactives.
Illustrator Doug Noe
We took the opportunity this summer to grab a talented Tyler student and force him to draw things for us. See a showcase of his impressive work.
The work of Aaron Richardson
Bluecadet is thrilled to announce the addition of designer Aaron Richardson to our team. Though he’s only been with us for a few short weeks, he’s already got a full plate, so we thought we’d take this time out to show you a little of what made him special enough to snap up in the first place. Cue the image roll.
Five Personal Favorites from the American Association of Museums 2011 Annual Meeting
Bluecadet sent a team down to the American Association of Museum’s Annual Meeting and Museum Expo in Houston last week. It was exciting to meet so many great museum people while manning our booth, but according to our production and museum maven Victoria Jones, the real fun was in the sessions. Here’s a top-five countdown of her favorites from this year’s annual meeting.
We're heading to Canada, eh!
The Bluecadet team is heading across the border to our Northern Neighbor this weekend. Josh will be in Toronto at Hot Docs, the world’s largest documentary Film Festival (check it out on Twitter @HotDocs). He’s going for docXchange, an interactive documentary film-financing workshop.
